Industry accounting, answered
Which industries does Finvo work with?
Restaurants, registered massage therapists and health clinics, short-term rental hosts, trades and construction, trucking, rideshare and delivery drivers, farms, retail and online sellers, and real estate. If yours isn't listed, ask on a free 15-minute call.
Why does industry knowledge matter for my books?
Each industry has its own tax and record-keeping habits: tips and payroll in restaurants, GST for drivers, subcontractor slips in construction, accommodation taxes for rentals. Knowing them helps us set up your books to match how your business runs.
Why don't the industry pages show prices?
Your price depends on how your business runs. Pricing is explained on the business membership page. We confirm your price before any work starts.
Can I meet you in person?
Yes, at our Surrey, Edmonton and Courtenay offices, by appointment. Many clients work with us entirely by video, phone and the client portal.
Are the free checks stored anywhere?
No. The restaurant profit check and the contractor tax checkup run in your browser and don't store or send what you enter. They point to topics worth reviewing; they aren't tax advice for your situation.
What if my business fits more than one industry?
That's common, for example a contractor who also rents out a suite. We set up the books so each activity is tracked on its own, and each part is reviewed against the rules that apply to it.
