What's included

Someone who actually looks at your money

Most households only think about their finances at tax time. We look through the year. This is what every plan includes; the plans below add more accounts, reviews and schedules.

Personal full suiteIn every plan

Your accounts

Reviewed through the year, not just in April.

  • Ongoing review of the transactions in your bank and credit card accounts
  • A review every quarter at least, with a clear summary of what we see
  • At least one planning call a year
  • Statements by digital access or PDF; no app to learn

Money left on the table

We tell you what we see; you decide what to change.

  • Missed deductions, credits and benefits looked for
  • Subscription tracking: forgotten and unused charges flagged
  • Bank or card fees you may not need to pay
  • Overlapping insurance or bank plans flagged

Tax returns

Prepared from the numbers we've tracked all year.

  • Personal tax returns included every year (how many depends on the plan)
  • Your proposal identifies the tax year, taxpayers and schedules included, including any first-year adjustment when you join partway through the year
  • You review, sign, and we file
  • Slips at tax time; receipts only when a claim needs them
  • Self-employed and rental schedules in the Self-Employed plans

Working together

Online, from wherever you are in BC or Alberta.

  • Documents shared through the secure client portal
  • Email support, with priority support on the Self-Employed plans
  • Statements handled only by our team, under the same confidentiality rules as our business clients
  • Already have a business accountant? We look after the personal side and work alongside them

Every line above, in one monthly price. Your plan depends on your accounts, income sources and how many returns you need; we confirm it after a free call, before any work starts.

Questions

Personal full suite, explained

What do you need from me?

Mainly your bank and credit card statements, through digital access or as PDF downloads each quarter. At tax time we ask for your slips, and for receipts only when a claim needs them.

How is this different from a budgeting app?

An app needs you to do the work. With the Personal full suite, we review your transactions, flag what looks off and send you a clear summary. You don't have to sort a single transaction yourself.

Which plan is right for me?

Core Personal suits households with employment (T4) income only. Self-Employed suits sole proprietors, side businesses, one rental property, or a corporation owner's personal side (the company's books are covered by Business full suite; its T2 return is quoted separately). Self-Employed Plus suits several income sources, several rental properties or stock options. The income bands are examples, not rules; under $150,000, Core Personal or tax filing only (from $60) often fits. We help you choose on the call.

Are tax returns included?

Yes. Core Personal includes up to 2 personal returns a year, for you and your spouse. Self-Employed adds up to 2 dependant returns and one simple self-employed or rental schedule. Self-Employed Plus includes up to two adult returns and two dependants' returns, plus the agreed self-employed, rental and investment schedules. Extra family returns are an add-on.

What if I have rental income or investments?

One rental property fits the Self-Employed plan. Several rentals, stock options or more complex investments fit Self-Employed Plus. Very complex investment or stock-option reporting is priced as an add-on, and we confirm it before any work starts.

Is my information kept private?

Yes. Your statements are handled only by our team, under the same confidentiality rules we follow for our business clients. You share documents with us through the secure client portal.

I only need this year's tax return. Can you do just that?

Yes. Tax filing only is from $60 for a personal return, $90 for a self-employed return and $150 for rideshare and delivery drivers. No plan is needed, and bookkeeping is not included.

I run a business too. Can you look after both?

Yes. The Business full suite looks after your company's monthly accounting, from $99 a month, and works alongside your Personal full suite, so your personal and business finances line up. If another accountant looks after the company, we work with them.
